Crippled Bone
Crooked Tail
Grasping Paw
Green-Green-White
Squeeky Eyeball
Stained Paw
Tattered Ear
Third Whisker
The Forever Racing Tomorrow tribe and the One Tribe get mentioned in the history but don't get a separate writeup (as they fracture into and band together from different tribes respectively), as are the Shadow Runners (destroyed in 1150, no tribe mechanics or specifics).
That what I have on the tribes, but I think their is nothing worthy of needing a correction here.
Crippled Bone- Used to live near the Festering Pit but were driven out by the Dark Oracles and the Elemental Terrors. They are probably the most warlike of the tribes Blue Fur- An offshoot of the Crippled Bone, they appear in Secrets of the Crab and accept humans as part of the tribe.
All good. I should add the Crippled Bone now live still south of the Shadowland, just less deep. The blue Fur tribe is an Hiruma vassal family and lives so near the Hiruma lands.
Quote:
Chewed Bark- Only appeared in Walking the Way.
The Chewed Bark were part of the adventure that accompanied the Wall of Bamboo spell. They had come to inhabit and restore a giant mass of bamboo that a shugenja had created via the spell to protect a village. When the adventure starts the village has decided to expand on the land the bamboo currently occupies, and the nezumi are understandably reluctant to leave. The PCs are given the task of mediating between both sides to find a solution (fighting the nezumi or burning down the bamboo are options the book implies aren't worth the trouble attempting given the resistance the nezumi would put up).

Shadow Runner- The original tribe Ik’krt. They were destroyed.
Quote:
Forever Racing Tomorrow- No longer exists, it was the tribe from where the Tattered Ear, Crooked Tail and Third Whisker tribes split.
It was the tribe Hiruma Kazuma first make an alliance with. The tribe separated around 800 years ago after the leaders of the three new tribes had a different.
Quote:
Black Moonset- The Green-Green-White are descended from this defunct tribe.
They changed of name when they learned to survive in the phoenix mountains.
