I'm playing a Crab Beserker in my current game and am thinking of going into the Dead-Eyes path at rank 3. My Question is, since the dead-eyes path specifically states that it counts as a rank of the Beserker school, do I get the second attack from rank 3? Thanks in advance for your answers.

That is a good question. This Technique counts as a rank of the Hida Berserker School. At Rank 3, you gain an additional attack per round. Yeah I wasn't sure if that was Tsukaede acting in his official capacity as AEG rules-sensei or just as a highly learned observer. Thanks for the quick reply.

If a Rank 1 Technique said, gain +1 to hit for each rank of this school and later the character gained a rank in a school that counted as a rank of the first school, the character would get +2 to hit. The extra attack from the Berserker comes from the Rank 1 tech and is based on how many Berserker ranks you have. This may NOT be the intent, but it is the RAW.

Wicked Sweet. Thanks for the quick response. And just an aside, there's no real reason not to take Dead-Eyes is there? I mean yeah rank 4 and 5 of Beserker are nice, but at that rank it's a little bit of overkill and going into Hida Bushi gives you the ubersurvivability of that school so it's a win-win.
