Instant messenger chat. I would like to have chats from time to time and it seems that MSN is the messenger system that most of use can use. I have MSN names for: Dace Okuma Togashi Shinjitsu Kakita Seigi (both of them) Muchitsujo Malempo I’d like for Cooper and Asahina Inu to get MSN instant messenger.

I'll get an MSM account as soon as I can.

I prefer YIM, but I guess I'm in minority. I prefer it as well. I think we are just trying to go for getting the least number of new IM accounts to work with. There is the possibility of people picking up Trillian, I think it's called, if they want to use their original YIM accounts. If I remember correctly it's a kind of interface program that allows you to converse with people using different IM's.

While Trillian allows you to converse with people with different accounts, you have to have at least 1 account of each type and be logged into both of them to use it. Basically, Trillian allows you to have an active YIM and an active MSN account running in the same "whose online" window at once.

The main one being that file transfer doesn’t always work well with users using true IM programs. Another disadvantage to Tirllian is that it doesn’t always have all the bells whistles of proprietary IM programs. Its advantages usually far out weight the minor limitations. I just have both. I use Trillion for everyday use and then I can always use the rela IM program for bells an whistles. Thus I don’t have any limitations. I can even leave Trillian running all the IM programs I am using except the one I want to use the real version of. You don’t need an account of each type nor do you even need to be logged into them all at once. *** Regardless of how you use MSN, most of the Jourei Bengoshi have at least MSN and if we ever want to do group chat, I suggest we use MSN messenger service.

The fact I can send files is a big disadvantage to me with trillian, and I have also it crashed many times on me, erasing all my adress list.

unfortunately I am unable to access MSN when I am on the computer most (work), and when I am home, my female companion takes precedence to MSN. So I don't get much chance to chat.
