Rank 10 and great potential on a Kakita Duelist.
Okay, player in my game with great potential Iajutsu and the Kakita duelist school finally got to rank 10 in his skill. It says to reroll 9's now. I know mastery abilities like free raise doesn't count when attacking, but would you still reroll 9's?

It says to reroll 9's now. I know mastery abilities like free raise doesn't count when attacking, but would you still reroll 9's? Mastery abilities don't enter into it. Great Potential + rank 10 means 9s explode when using the corresponding Skill. The Kakita uses his Iaijutsu Skill when attacking, so the benefit from GP applies.

Okay, player in my game with great potential Iajutsu and the Kakita duelist school finally got to rank 10 in his skill. It says to reroll 9's now. I know mastery abilities like free raise doesn't count when attacking, but would you still reroll 9's? Moreover the Free Raise from the universal Rank 5 Mastery Ability applies to all rolls made with the relevant skill. This means that the Free Raise from Iaijutsu 5 applies whenever you use Iaijutsu (inclusing when you substitute iaijutsu for another skill).
