Shugenja and Kiho
This may have been errataed somewhere, but here goes. Shugenja can purchase Kihos. They cost twice the Mastery Level of the Kiho. The Shugenja must have his Ring at least equal to the Mastery Level. But, the shugenja can only learn a number of total kiho equal to his School Ranks in schools with the Monk descriptor. That's not very many. :( How many kiho can a Shugenja learn?

I think it's have been errated they can have only one kiho per school rank.

Good limit ! It prevents Double class D&D like ("And after kicking the undead with my beautiful technique I throw him my delayed fireball") :/

I think it's have been errated they can have only one kiho per school rank. This isn’t errata is it clearly stated that and non-brotherhood monks can have a maximum number of kiho equal to their combined school ranks of non-brotherhood monks ranks.. There errata comes from the text doesn’t say that shugenja can learn kiho. By errata they can learn kiho and have the same limit on number as the non-brotherhood monks.

There errata comes from the text doesn’t say that shugenja can learn kiho. By errata they can learn kiho and have the same limit on number as the non-brotherhood monks. Ok, let me get this straight. By the RAW, it says that, "Shugenja are the most likely non-monks to possess knowledge of kiho." So, the text clearly states that shugenja can get them. But, later when it comes to how many kiho a shugenja can have, it says shugenja can only learn a number of total kiho equal to his School Ranks in schools with the Monk descriptor. So, by the RAW, shugenja can learn kiho, but they can learn no more of them than they have ranks in Monk schools. If I have no ranks in Monk, do I get any at all? Can have have as many as I have ranks in Shugenja schools?

This has been errataed. So, by the RAW, shugenja can learn kiho, but they can learn no more of them than they have ranks in Monk schools. That was the common RAW reading of the text, but it this has been errataed to mean that shuegnja and non-brotherhood monks can buy kiho and that the maximum number of kiho they can have is their total ranks of shugenja and non-brotherhood monk school ranks. If I have no ranks in Monk, do I get any at all? Can have have as many as I have ranks in Shugenja schools? Again see the errata.

That is what I wanted to know. I can't find anything on the forums. :?

That is what I wanted to know. I can't find anything on the forums. :? http://www.alderac.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=526206#526206 First of all, that last bit, "the Monk descriptor" is clearly a typo. It's supposed to be Shugenja. So Shugenja can buy Kiho at a cost of 2xML, and may know a number equal to their Shugenja (and/or Monk) Rank.
