Spells from Lying Darkness ?
Hi ! I started collecting information about the Lying Darkness 'cause one ofmy player got Shadows Brand. I found the bonus and link with the darkness but I also found mention of Spells used by shosuro family. Nut no spell at all in the Way of the Scorpion and I don't fin anyone else in the 3ed ed. Corebook ou 4 Winds ? Someone got a clue ? Thanks :)

Well, I'd suggest looking in the following places for Lying Darkness information (in order of importance and quality): 1. Way of the Shadow 2. Secrets of the Ninja 3. 2ed Core Rule Books (GM and PC) 4. Secrets of the scorpion 5. Way of the Scorpion. 6. Possibly Way of and secrets of the Unicorn. Not too sure on that though...

dont forget Hidden emperor. It has the Goju version of Shadow spells and powers. Web update has some references (with the shosuro deciever updated) Secrets of the scorpion is the real source for spells. For shadow brans I suggest looking at Hidden emperor, it details what shadow brands 'turn into'. I assume this is an older setting campaign? Shadow brands are now banned in the shosuro family (well that is what they SAY)

Yes, it's the Shosuro shinobi school. He became one of the few bushi / shugenja combinaison. He can cast spells of all elements. Nothing = Shadow.

Thanks for the details Okuma :) One last question : How does this school (and the Kuni witch Hunter) made bushi aware of Kami ?

Okuma- 10-02-2007

They don't : they are characters who had the innate gift to the kamis but didn't trained for it.
