Why has Asahina Inu gone crazy?
There has been many threads on AEG in the last few days where Inu has gone against me (which is perfectly fine and that is what guys are here for), but has done so in more agressive / insulting manner. Yo Inu, what's up?

Asahina Inu- 06-11-2007

Sorry. I haven't been intentionally trying to do that. There have just happened to be a few topics that I really disagree upon. We've been there before as well. I apologise if it seems like I've been attacking you. I haven't but that doesn't mean that it translates on the internet very well. As to the one topic of the delaying, I've just been trying to point out that it has never been officially settled. I was kind of irked a while back when I asked whether or not Shawn had actually decided to agree with your decision. If I remember correctly this was even before you were mad Rules Deputy. The response you gave us was something about how you told Shawn why it didn't work in PM's, but never actually told us whether or not he agreed with you or not, and no enlightenment was forthcoming from him either. I was just kind of upset that we were kept out of the loop if this was an official thing, especially as you have gone on to say that it is an official clarification. I don't disagree that your interpretation is a valid interpretation of the rules as written, but you have constantly argued that it is the only correct interpretation when Shawn made a statement to the contrary. It would be one thing if Shawn or even You made an official statement to the contrary, but as of this time nothing as such has been done. So to my point of view as well as the views of may other posters, including several other Jourei Bengoshi, your interpretation of the rule while still being a very valid interpretation according to the RAW, is just that am interpretation and not a ruling. The funny thing is I posted my original comment on the Crane Kata as what would happen if one used the INTERPRETATIOn(as opposed to an actual ruling) that the characters entire turn was delayed. I was actually giving you the benefit of the doubt as to your interpretation being made at least tacitly official, and just made the sidenote that if one used the delaying of entire turns that the kata could prove to be problematic. It kind of bothered me when I got the response from you chastising me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Even so I didn't intend for any of my responses to be offensive or aggressive(I believe I even put a few disclaimers to the point), I just felt that I needed to explain fully where I was coming from since it seemed my position was called into doubt. Despite what you may think there is also RAW support for the Shawns stance that Your Turn and Actions are in fact the same with regards to this stance or more appropriately that Declaring Posture is counted as part of your Actions. So the point is still in a debatable spot as far as the RAW go, and since we DO NOT have an official clarification on the subject it is still a point of contention. I don't know if I have seemed agressive in any other thread. The only other one I can recall me being in opposite courts as you has been the Spirit Moshi thread, and I think we were both pretty civil there. That topic is one I think that Shawn should weigh in on as we don't really have any precedent for the situation. I hope we're cool with eachother. I'm not trying to be at odds with you. I just coudn't idly sit by while I thought you were making a mistake. The discussion about whether or not which version of delaying was more balanced was just a personal opinion debate between the two of us and has no actual bearing as to what the ruling is. I will accept either ruling, I just think one needs to actually be made as opposed to automatically assuming that everyone will come to the same conclusion as you. End with a bug smiley face!! :D :D :D

Well that is one of the purposes of the Jourei Bengoshi: to keep the debates about the rules and let them turn into a battle for credibility. I am glad we can keep it civil. Until I start the Errata/FAQ project, many of these rules issues are going to remain unresolved.

Is this a different Errata/FAQ project from the one the JB was going to work on, or the same one? Same one. Right now, Shawn is busy with MoW to really answer any rules questions.

It's a really big problems, as their is so many rules to take care of ... I would like the grappling rules cleared to finish way of the open hand...

A Pickled Punk? Perhaps people prying places Inu into interesting cannabalistic cultural conundrums wherein wiser wits find fortunes fixing preserved pickled punks for future feasts?

Tsukaede IS "The Mad Rules Deputy" regardless of how you slice it after all!

Inu has gone crazy! I saw him eat that poor child! He claimed it was a Pekkle, but why would you eat a Pekkle? Crazy I tells ya! Well, his new icon is Spider Clan. He's entitled to it once in a while now.

Just as long as he doesn't offer me an irresistible deal on a "slightly loved" kobune - I think I can handle it.
